Brandy Hankinson Photography is known for impeccable photographic style. As a photographer, I like to show clean images with clean and bright editing techniques to maintain the true colors, textures and tones in each image. I do not bleach out the colors or mute the tones. Your skin won’t look overly smooth or obviously edited or too washed out. The depth of colors will be maintained in all of your images.

Clean and colorful images will ALWAYS be in style. I never want you to look back on your senior pictures and say “What was I thinking?!?”

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY SESSION?

The earlier the better! My calendar books up weeks to months in advance, especially for peak seasons such as Fall & Spring. For Fall sessions I recommend booking in the summer and for Spring sessions I recommend booking in the winter.

DO YOU ONLY PHOTOGRAPH SENIORS? WHAT ABOUT FAMILIES?

I specialize in seniors but love to photograph families as well. I also offer headshots for business and other creatives such as bloggers and actors.

What DO I wear?

I am here to help! I love to offer input as the what looks best on camera. I send every client a what to wear guide and will also schedule a phone consult to discuss wardrobe options.

WHEN DO PHOTO SHOOTS TAKE PLACE?

I schedule shoots on most weekdays and a one or two weekend dates dates per month. Most of my sessions take place 3 to 4 hours before the scheduled sunset, although I can create those dreamy and glowy lit images you see on my website at any time of day!

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS ON THE DAY OF MY SHOOT?

Rain, rain go away! I will watch the weather the day of your session, keep in contact with you and make the best decision for your shoot prior to meeting for hair and makeup. We may need to reschedule but we will get your shoot done!

HOW DO WE PICK A LOCATION?

A big city vibe, an open field, on the rocks by the water . . .what is your vision for your senior portraits? During our phone consultation we will talk about the different options and decide together on the best location to best fit YOUR personality and style. We can often find a large variety of backgrounds in one location, or we can go to multiple locations that are close together.

HOW MUCH DOES A SESSION COST?

I offer several collections to choose from which include everything from digital images, to prints, albums and custom wall art. Check out the Investment tab on my website. All pricing, collections and a la carte items will be sent to those that inquire about a session with BHP.

HOW LONG UNTIL I GET TO SEE MY PICTURES?

Typically we schedule your viewing and ordering session within a week of your photo shoot.

WHAT DOES THE SESSION FEE INCLUDE?

The Session Retainer Fee includes the 2 hour senior session experience and a private ordering session in my studio office. It does not include your images or products. All prints, products and digital images are purchased separately.

IS HAIR & MAKE-UP INCLUDED IN THE SESSION FEE?

Hair & Make-up is not included in my session fee, however I highly recommend it for the perfect camera ready face and hair! I will send you the information for the Hair & Make-up artists I recommend who will ease the stress of the day by coming to your home! Plus, they are the best in the business!

CAN I CHOOSE A LOCATION OUTSIDE OF YOUR TYPICAL TRAVEL DISTANCE?

Yes, we can discuss options outside of my typical travel distance. Contact me for a custom quote.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR PRINTS AND PRODUCTS AND THOSE I CAN PURCHASE MYSELF?

I work with only the highest quality labs to ensure the color and quality of your products are heirloom quality and will stand the test of time.

What types of payments do you accept?

You can pay for your session and products with most major credit and debit cards, checks and cash.

Can I bring my family?

Absolutely! If your siblings can come along to your session, they are invited to get some photos taken too! I will take about 15 minutes to get photos of you and your siblings together and I will even get a good individual photo of each of them.

Friends and parents are welcome and often can be a help like making you laugh or smile more easily. They will also serve as a big help to me in assisting me to get the best lighting on you!

Sessions last 2-3 hours. It's important for me to take my time with my clients in order to create a natural, relaxed and fun senior portrait experience! We'll make multiple background and wardrobe changes and have time to touch up hair & make-up. I will ensure that you have tons of variety for your senior portraits that match your personality and style!

After we schedule your senior session, we will have a phone consultation to discuss all the details for your shoot. I have a list of great go-to locations around town, including urban, nature, lakeside or a rustic/country look. I also encourage you and your family to brainstorm unique locations that you might have special access to that most people don’t! If you can secure permission to a location that would otherwise be off-limits, like a beautiful private estate, family farm, country club or resort, let's chat!

My goal is to make my seniors feel completely at ease in front of the camera. I'll pose you right down to your pinkies so you never have to think about what to do next! You're going to look and feel natural and by the end, you're going to be a total rock star in front of the camera.

I HIGHLY recommend having your hair and makeup professionally done! Having photo-ready makeup and hair truly elevates your senior portrait experience and it makes a difference in the final product Professional Hair Stylists & Makeup Artists have a strong understanding of working with natural light. My Makeup Artists use camera-ready makeup and make your hair humidity resistant, which is PARAMOUNT when it comes to Georgia heat and humidity! Natural or glam, they are very skilled at creating the perfect look that accentuates your true beauty. Hair & Make-up cost is $135 paid separately to the make-up artist on the day of the session.
